| Over the past two weeks, active members of the Point Pleasant Fire District and the Sea Breeze Fire District gathered at the department’s training grounds to take part in hands-on exercises designed to strengthen their response to structure fires.
Firefighters practiced a wide range of essential skills, including implementing the incident command system, hose line advancement, establishing water supply, search and rescue techniques, and rapid intervention company operations. These drills are critical in ensuring that members are prepared to work seamlessly together during real emergencies.
“Our volunteers dedicate countless hours to training so they can serve the community with professionalism and confidence when it matters most,” a department spokesperson said. “Joint trainings like this allow us to sharpen our skills while building stronger teamwork across neighboring districts.”
The department conducts training sessions several times each month to accommodate volunteer schedules and provide opportunities to practice the many different skills required in fire and emergency response.
The Point Pleasant Fire Department is always welcoming new members. Those interested in serving the community are encouraged to send a direct message to learn more about the process.
