Point Pleasant Firefighters Respond to Motor Vehicle Accident on Sea Breeze Dr.

The Point Pleasant Fire District responded to a motor vehicle accident at approximately 2:15 AM on March 9th on Sea Breeze Drive near Titus Avenue.

Upon arrival, crews found a single-vehicle accident with significant damage and a large fuel spill. Firefighters worked alongside Irondequoit Ambulance personnel to rapidly extricate the vehicle’s lone occupant.

The driver was successfully extricated and transferred to the care of Irondequoit Ambulance. One adult was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

Firefighters remained on scene to assist with hazard mitigation. Personnel from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation responded to assist in mitigating and cleaning up the fuel spill.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Irondequoit Police Department.
