This evening, Engine 112 from the Point Pleasant Fire Department is on scene at the Public Safety Training Facility (PSTF) to assist with the Monroe County Firefighter 1 class. The department is proud to have two of its newest members actively participating in the course as they begin their journey in the fire service.

Firefighter 1 is a foundational training program that equips recruits with the essential skills and knowledge needed to respond safely and effectively to emergency situations. Participation in this program demonstrates a strong commitment to serving the community with professionalism and preparedness.

“We’re incredibly proud of our new firefighters for stepping up to take on this challenge,” said a department spokesperson. “Their dedication to training reflects the values of our department and our commitment to protecting Point Pleasant.”

The department also extends its appreciation to all the instructors, volunteers, and agencies involved in making this training possible.

Fire Prevention Tip: Make sure your home has working smoke alarms on every level and inside each bedroom. Test them monthly and replace batteries at least once a year.
