Welcome
to the Point Pleasant Fire Department website!
We
are one of five fire districts located in the Town of Irondequoit.
Our district boundaries include areas: north of Titus Avenue, east of Oakview Drive, west of the
Irondequoit Bay, and south of Sweet Fern Road.
We provide fire protection and emergency medical service for the 2,600
residents of our district. We man two stations with a total of
three engines, a rescue, an ambulance, and support vehicles. Our
continued dedication has proven to remain strong as we have over 60 active firefighters, EMT'S and fire police
personnel. We look forward to continuing to serve you with the
best care possible. This website will

Motor
Vehicle Collision
Firefighters were called to the location of Culver
Road and Titus Avenue on the evening of February 8, 2010 for a two car
crash. One victim was transported to the hospital for evaluation. |

Schnackel
Drive House Fire
A call was received by 911 for some sort of fire in the
house on Schackel Drive on December 19th, 2009 just before 10:30am.
Chief Cullati declared a working fire under the deck of the house, which
brought mutual aid from Sea Breeze, St. Paul and Ridge-Culver Fire
Departments. The fire started when ashes from the fireplace were put
outside. |

Clinton Ave 4 - Alarm Fire
Point Pleasant Firefighters answered the request for
mutual aid into the City of Rochester to the scene of a working fire on
November 23rd, 2009. Engine 112 responded. A quick
moving fire started in the paper good section of the Family Dollar store
and grew to four alarms. The fire has been ruled arson, and the
ATF was called in to assist with the investigation. |

Durand
Eastman Park Blaze
A
smoldering bonfire is believed to be the cause of a large wild land fire
in Durand Eastman Park on morning of November 16th, 2009.
Firefighters from the Point Pleasant and City of Rochester Fire
Departments spent the morning wetting down hot spots to keep the fire that
burned about three acres of leaves and brush from flaring up.
